Society Limonta hosts the artworks by Diego Miguel Mirabella

From 4th to 31st March 2022, Society’s store in Rome will be hosting 11 works of art created by the Sicilian artist Diego Miguel Mirabella using the Moroccan mosaic technique.

The main focus of Mirabella’s art is the relationship between written words and language and the visual translation of these two concepts.

Mirabella’s aim is trying to manifest through his works the strain between what is shown and what is hidden from the observer, in an attempt to create "the necessary condition for writing a poem".

Mirabella's works were chosen for their affinity with Society in using traditional materials and for the recovery and use of procedures typical of a precious artisanal culture.

In many of his projects, the artist makes use of the images uses and culture of other artists or craftsmen, in order to investigate the boundary of communication and exchange between himself and "the other", creating works that arise from this conflict.
